Membership Fee: $7.00 per person

PTSA Membership entitles you to entry in the PTSA email group which provides announcements throughout the year.  This is a great way to stay informed about upcoming events at FMMS. PTSA membership also gives students a discount to our two Floyd PTSA dances.

All Homerooms with 100% Membership by September 6th will receive a Doughnut Party! The Homeroom that has the highest percentage of memberships will receive a “Dress Down Doughnut Day!”

FMMS Teacher and Staff Appreciation

Dear Parents,

Floyd MMS is celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week next week, May 6-10. The PTSA and Teacher Appreciation Committee are planning treats for the teachers each day including breakfast, lunch, gift cards, etc.

Tuesday, May 2nd we are asking for your help in showing our Teachers and Staff that we are thankful for all that they do!

So that our teachers and staff know how much we appreciate all they do, we ask that you send a snack, drink, or supply to your child’s homeroom teacher on Tuesday, May 2nd, and to one or more staff members, including our school librarian, school nurse, office, lunchroom, and custodial staff. After all, it takes all FMMS staff to make our school wonderful!

Field Day Deadline

Hi Panther Parents,

The deadline for the field day admission and t-shirt is May 1st. The t-shirt and admission combo price is $15. After May 1st, the admission will be $10 and will not include the t-shirt.

Teacher Appreciation Volunteers Needed

This year, we will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6th – 10th.

There are several different ways in which you can volunteer or donate this week.

  1. There will be a raffle every morning this week for teachers and staff.  We are in need of items (ex: Starbucks gift cards, Pedicures, etc) to be donated that can be used as “give-aways.”  Please drop off any donations to the office in the PTSA box or call me and I will pick them up from you.
  2. Monday, May 6th, we will have breakfast for teachers and staff.  We will need volunteers to bring breakfast items (breakfast casserole, sweet rolls, fruit, juice) and volunteers to help set up/clean up.  Breakfast items will need to be delivered to the Library by 8am.
  3. Wednesday, May 8th, we will be treating teachers and staff to cupcakes after lunch, we will need a few (2) volunteers to pick up cupcakes from Little Red Cupcake (Hull St) and deliver them to the school.
  4. Thursday, May 9th we will provide donuts and coffee to teachers and staff for breakfast.  We will need volunteers to pick up donuts and coffee and deliver them to the Media Room by 8am.
  5. Friday, May 10th, We will provide lunch for all faculty and staff.  We will need 3 to 4 volunteers to help serve lunch starting around 11:30am.

“FREE” ATHLETIC PHYSICALS

THE “FREE” ATHLETIC PHYSICALS ARE SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2019 AT 10 AM AT THE GARRETT COLISEUM, 1555 FEDERAL DRIVE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER YOUR SCHOOLS NAME WILL BE INFO AS TO THE SECTION OF SEATS IN THE COLISEUM THAT WE WANT OUR BOYS AND YOUR GIRLS TO SIT IN UNTIL THEY ARE CALLED TO MOVE TO THE AREA OF THE COLISEUM FLOOR FOR THEIR EXAM.

THEY WILL BE SEATED IN SECTIONS L,M,N,O,P,Q,R.

“B” WILL BE BOYS,—“G” WILL BE GIRLS,–“A” WILL BE ALL (BOYS AND GIRLS).

10 AM FLOYD/BALDWIN

B-SEC.Q—G-SEC.M

THERE WILL BE AMPLE PARKING AT THE NORTH ENTRANCE. WE ASK THAT OUR ATHLETES BE PRESENT 15 MINUTES BEFORE THEIR SCHEDULED TIME.

THERE WILL BE SIGNS TO SHOW BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS ENTRANCE.

WE ASK THAT THE ATHLETES LEAVE THE BUILDING AS SOON AS THEY HAVE COMPLETED THEIR EXAM AND HAVE SIGNED OUT AND TURNED IN THEIR PHYSICAL FORMS TO THE SCHOOLS FOLDER ON SITE.

WE ASK THAT ALL ATHLETES BE CLEAN, WELL GROOMED, AND WEAR SHORTS AND SHOES.

ALL SCHOOLS SHOULD HAVE AMPLE COACHES TO OVERSEE THEIR ATHLETES AND ASSIST THEM IF NECESSARY. COACHES SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THEIR PLAYERS SIGN OUT PROPERLY AND EACH SCHOOL

SHOULD HAVE A DESIGNATED COACH TO PICK UP AND SIGN FOR THEIR SCHOOLS PHYSICAL FORMS.

MOST IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE REMINDED THAT NO ATHLETE WILL BE EVALUATED UNLESS THEIR MEDICAL HISTORY SIDE OF THEIR PHYSICAL FORM HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY A PARENT.

WE WILL NOT HAVE BLANK FORMS FOR PEOPLE TO PICK UP AND FILL OUT IF THEY DO NOT HAVE THEIR OWN. PLEASE GO ON THE FLOYD WEBSITE UNDER THE ATHLETICS TAB AND PRINT OUT THE ATHLETIC PHYSICAL.
