MPS Schools closed on MONDAY & TUESDAY

11 09 2017
MPS Closed on MONDAY and TUESDAY!!
Full message from Tom Salter: “Predicting the exact path or the impact a storm may have on us is difficult. In these situations, educators must rely on experts to guide them, and we must always err on the side of safety for our students and our staff. Throughout the day and into the evening, we have consulted with the National Weather Service, State Superintendent Michael Sentance, the Montgomery Emergency Management Agency, and Dr. Barbara Cooper, Deputy State Superintendent and MPS Intervention CAO. As a result of these conversations, Dr. Eggleston, MPS CEO is issuing an alert that MPS schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 11 and Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Assuming minimum damage and that streets are passable, school will resume Wednesday morning. Please continue to monitor local media and social media for any updates.”
