Red Ribbon Week

23 10 2013
Many of you know that our students celebrate the ideas of a drug-free lifestyle every year during Red Ribbon Week. This week they have “locked out drugs,” been given a bracelet reminder to be drug free, “put a cap on drugs,” and tomorrow they will “sock it to drugs.”
Friday is the Grand Finale… Panther Productions students have prepared a video to be viewed in homeroom and on the school website. Then at 10 am, parents are invited to attend the FMMS school Red Ribbon Week assembly in the gym. Bobby Crew, Director of Safety at MPS, is helping us with our program. He is bringing Ronnie Davis, the Security Supervisor-Drug Detection Agent, and his 2-year-old Labrador Retriever, Harley, to educate us on drug prevention. Harley is trained to sniff drugs and explosives, and will demonstrate his skills at Floyd Middle Magnet School.
